Calne’s Christmas Festival’s Proud Sponsors
1st Choice Stairlifts are delighted to be headline sponsors of Calne’s Christmas Festival this year. The Christmas Festival is a fantastic local free event which is well attended by thousands of people organised by Calne Town Council.
The event on Saturday 1st December starts at 12 noon and finishes around 6pm. During the day there will be lots of activities going on in and around town including Stalls, Live music and entertainment, Reindeer petting, Craft Market held in the Town Hall, Santas Grotto, a Funfair and Christmas Choir to name but a few!
The annual event culminates in the Lantern Parade, which includes Santa courtesy of Calne Lions and will be leaving Bremhill View Club at 4.30pm arriving in the centre of town around 5pm. The Christmas Tree lights will be switched on shortly afterwards and (weather permitting) there will be a fireworks display in the centre of town over the Town Hall.
Joint Managing Director Coral Affleck-Major said “We started up our business in Calne nearly 15 years ago. The Annual Christmas Festival is a wonderful experience for Adults and Children with lots to do for people of all ages and we personally love it! It’s the one event in the area that you just don’t want to miss.
We decided to become headline sponsors this year to promote our company more to the local community. Whilst we do cover a wide area including Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Newbury we thought it was important for us to promote ourselves in our home town, having been hidden away on the Porte Marsh Industrial Estate for the last 15 years!”
1st Choice Stairlifts have also just been awarded the Retailer of the Year for Porte Marsh Industrial Estate during the Calne Shopping Week promoting the towns businesses. Our presence at Calne’s Christmas Festival is a wonderful finale to finish off the year with a bang as we head to our 15th Anniversary on 2nd February 2019!
