Your free home assessmentReady to get the ball rolling? Wonderful! The first step to getting your new lift installed is to book a home assessment. During the assessment, we will match the best lift to your needs and your budget. Have no fear! There is no obligation to buy – we never pressure customers for sales, that’s not how we do business. Below you can find some answers to common questions about how our home assessments work but if you have any other questions, just give us a bell! To book your home assessment, either give us a call on 01249 814528, fill out our contact form below with the ‘Book a Home Assessment‘ option, or you can use our Live Chat feature at the bottom-right of your screen!
During an assessment we come out to measure you and your stairs. We will find out about your needs and recommend the right solution from the range of models we offer. This is the only way to tell if a model will fit your home. We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach because everyone’s needs and stairs are different.
Around 45 minutes or until we’ve answered all your questions. Normally we will be able to give you a quote on the spot.
Our surveyors are friendly experts who know their stuff, with no hard sell or pushy sales tactics, meaning you can feel comfortable inviting us into your home. Of course, we’d love it if you’d like to order from us, but you are under no pressure to do so.
Yes of course! We often meet relatives or friends on our visits when visiting new customers so please feel free to have someone else there with you to help.
About YouWe’ll ask questions about you to assess your mobility and decide which model we think you will be able to use safely. We will never recommend something that is not suitable for your needs or mobility. We’ll check your measurements to see which stairlift chair you will fit most comfortably on and check that there’s enough width on the stairs to accommodate you and your lift. All models have different weight capacities, so we’ll ask your weight too.
Your Stairs (for Stairlifts)We’ll measure your stairs to see which model would best fit the width, length and curvature of your staircase so we can recommend the best model.
Your Home (for other lifts like Home Lifts)If you would like a vertical home lift or step lift, we will measure and assess where to site the model that best works for you and your home.
Your Home (Other Considerations)During an assessment we check if there is any other work that needs to be completed in order to fit a model for you, like fitting a power point nearby if you don’t have one, or moving a radiator if it is in the way of where the lift will park. We can include any work like this in our quote and organise it all for you.
We can only find the best and safest solution for you by assessing your home and your needs, our priority is your safety so we will never recommend a lift without being sure that it is the bust option for you. Our directors have a combined 60+ years of expertise in stairlifts and both passionately believe in a person-centred approach and personal service that only a detailed assessment can give.
There are many factors that can affect how much your lift is going to cost, from the type of stairlift to extra features needed to support your mobility that we can only be certain of with an assessment. There is a lot to consider when pricing a model that best suits you and your home. We are happy to give you a ballpark idea of cost over the phone but this will not be an accurate price until we’ve been out for visit.
