Outdoor Stairlift Range

Getting into the great outdoors is something that we just all naturally do.  Walking out of the house to go out for shopping or appointments or to enjoy the garden – but what if you can’t because of steps or a change in level.  Most people know about stairlifts for inside the house, but did you know we can put them outside too?

When you can’t get outside because of steps, there are lots of different solutions available depending on what your property situation is.

Outdoor stairlifts can be used for straight or curved stairs where there are steps, going up or down to a property.  They are also great for outdoor steps to flats too and for communal areas.   

Outdoor models look like indoor models but are all treated specially with weatherproofed materials and circuitry so they can be safely used outside.  They also come with a rain-proof plastic cover to put over the model to protect it from the elements and keep it dry and clean, so it is ready for you to use when you need it.  It also has an isolation shut off key to prevent unauthorised use.

There are other great solutions available too.  If you are unable to transfer on and off a stairlift if you were in a wheelchair or on a mobility scooter, then a wheelchair lift may be more suitable.  Depending on the height of travel and situation we can install a vertical lift to the side of the steps or incorporate it with the step design if it is just a few steps. 

If you have a shallow rise it may be possible, depending on the gradient of the rise in level, to install a ramp to allow wheelchair/mobility scooter access in and out of the property.
