Our Unbeatable Experience

Our Directors, Coral and Colin, founded 1st Choice Stairlifts in 2004, with a combined experience of 25 years in the stairlift industry, for businesses including Stannah, ThyssenKrupp and Bison Bede. Today, Coral and Colin now proudly have over 60 years combined experience in the stairlift industry, growing the business to a strong team of 17 members of staff, who look after all of the company’s functions including sales, installation, maintenance, marketing, and accounts.

This year, as a company, we celebrated our 20th Business Anniversary! With less than 5% of businesses reaching this milestone, what makes us so successful?

Lastly, all our sales staff at 1st Choice Stairlifts hold the Trusted Product Advisor accreditation from the Independent Living Foundation. This qualification equips our staff with Occupational Therapy-style assessment techniques, allowing us to provide educated and informed recommendations for adaptations and disability equipment. We go the extra mile to enhance our customer service standards, demonstrated through comprehensive training programs. All of our staff undergo specialised training, like our Dementia Friends and Disability Awareness training, promoting a better understanding of our diverse customer base and their individual needs.

Supporting Charity and Local Community

As a local business, we demonstrate our commitment to supporting our local community by annually donating to the Calne Community Christmas Appeal. This wonderful appeal collects gifts and non-perishable food items to assemble hampers for the local elderly community and families experiencing financial difficulties. For several years, we have been a proud supporter of the Calne Community Christmas Appeal, with our Director Colin filling up his van with hampers and parcels, and delivering them to the local community! We also proudly support the national charity Brain Tumour Research, we regularly donate and actively participate in their annual Wear a Hat Day campaign to help spread awareness.

In addition to our charitable contributions, we proudly sponsor local youth football teams, including Calne Town FC Youth Under 13s & Under 14s, and Derry Hill Under 10s. We also actively participate in local community events such as the annual Calne Lions Duck Race, and the Hilmarton Scarecrow Festival. Engaging with our local initiatives reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting and enriching our local communities.
