The Flow X has a unique automatic folding seat making it suitable for people who are unable to bend to lift the footrest. It also has patented Advanced Swivel and Levelling technology, meaning that the seat and footrest will twist and stay upright as the chair makes its way up and down the rail, this makes it a smooth and comfortable ride and a suitable option for houses with a narrow staircase.
This stairlift offers a phone call/answer function built into the armrest; with the ability to call up to three people and answer the phone with the just the touch of a button, this welcome safety addition offers peace of mind not only for the user but also for family members.
The Flow X also includes 2 remote controls for calling and parking the staircase when not in use or to move to other users. This chair also has curved and opening armrests to allow for easy dismount, added safety and security.
The Flow X also includes an integrated joystick for navigation within the armrest that folds down when not in use. It works with constant pressure, as all stairlifts, and the user simply moves the joystick left to right to move the chair up and down the rail. By folding the joystick into the armrests, they can be used to bear weight when sitting and standing with no concerns of using the controls accidentally.
As with all stairlifts, the rail of the Flow X is mounted to the floor as opposed to the walls which minimises disruption within the home. There are also multiple options for how the rail sits on the ground floor depending on whether there are any obstructions at the bottom of the stairs. There is also an option to have the chair parked more discreetly when not in use with a 180° bend around the ground floor banister or landing.
