It’s been over 6 years since Directors Coral Affleck-Major and Colin Major lost their best friend Paul Keel to Brain Tumours aged only in his fourties. Paul was a former work colleague to Colin and an excellent stairlift engineer and electrician. Since his passing Colin and Coral have been supporters of the Brain Tumour Research charity and take part in the famous Wear A Hat Day each year, to help raise money for vital funds to go towards research at their UK Centres of Excellence.
Although Brain Tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, just 1% of the national spend on Cancer Research has been allocated to Brain Tumour Research. The mission of Brain Tumour Research is to fund seven dedicated research centers to eventually find a cure for Brain Tumours.
Director Colin Major said, “We are pleased to support the Brain Tumour Research charity and personally for us it’s like a lasting legacy to our friend Paul who was more like a brother to me. We are delighted to have donated £410 to date to support the charity and look forward to Wear A Hat Day 2018.”
