Meet Coral and Colin
Coral has 15 years experience in the stairlift industry, working for major stairlift manufacturers, Bison Bede and ThyssenKrupp Accessibility, in customer services, sales and marketing, before forming 1st Choice Stairlifts with her partner Colin Major.
Colin has 25 years experience in the stairlift industry, 15 years of which were spent working for Stannah in engineering, surveying, sales and marketing, and latterly worked for an independent stairlift retailer.

With qualifications in Business & Finance and Business Management, Coral is responsible for developing the company strategy and managing key areas of the business including customer service, finance, sales and marketing.
Colin is NVQ qualified in stairlift installation, servicing and repair. Colin oversees the sales, surveys, installations and engineering aspects of the business. His many years of experience means you can be assured you’ll get the best stairlift for the job.
“I’ve been in the industry for over 15 years now and plan to stay here for many years to come. Why do I do it? Because I love the job satisfaction of being able to help a customer to become independent in their own home and enjoy going upstairs with ease again,” says Coral.
Colin adds, “I especially like tackling complicated curved staircases because they’re a challenge to survey and give me the opportunity to fit stairlifts in places that other companies can’t – often because it’s too complicated or they don’t think it will fit. The satisfaction I get from my job is in helping people of all ages and disabilities to get up and down the stairs.”
