The decision to get a stairlift was an easy one for us, it was just a case of where to get it from.

Although we’re not particularly old (although the kids would disagree!), and don’t have any real mobility problems, we do get tired moving up and down stairs all day. Both of us work in office blocks that have hundreds of flights of stairs, and we couldn’t face more of them at home, so we agreed to get a stairlift for the convenience more than anything. The kids thought we were just being lazy to begin with, but they’re not saying that now they use it too!

Our attitude is very much geared towards making life at home as comfortable and easy as possible. We spend all day running backwards and forwards, up and down, we don’t want to be doing it at home too. We’ve got a dishwasher, microwave, vacuum cleaner – all for convenience in the home – why not have a stairlift too? It certainly does the job for us, particularly when you get home and your legs are heavy from rushing around.

Some of the other companies didn’t seem bothered when we explained the stairlift was for convenience and not because of a lack of mobility, but 1st Choice understood where we were coming from, and advised us accordingly.

The fitting was quick and easy, it was done with the minimum of mess or fuss, and everything has worked a treat so far.
