I had a bad accident on my bike last year and broke my legs in several places, as well as receiving minor spinal injuries, which resulted in a six-week hospital stay. After that much time away from home I was really looking forward to getting back, but was concerned about how I would get around, particularly whilst my wife was at work. I hadn’t even considered a stairlift, you just think of them for old people, but the hospital suggested it could be a real help – especially given the fact it could take a further 3 months before I was fully mobile again.

I had a look online at different companies, but from their websites a lot of them seemed fairly limited in what they could offer and were located in the opposite end of the country to me! Then I found 1st Choice Stairlifts, who seemed to fit the bill in that they provide a wide range of stairlifts – and were local to me.

After visiting to discuss my requirements, the guys from 1st Choice Stairlifts came and fitted the stairlift in just a few of hours – even though our stairs are curved. It’s been great since, such a relief that I’ve been able to get up and down the stairs whilst in plaster. My legs are nearly better now, but I’m thinking of keeping the stairlift regardless!
