VACANCY - TRAINEE STAIRLIFT ENGINEER
1st Choice Stairlifts are expanding and now urgently require a Trainee Stairlift Engineer to join our successful team.
The ideal candidate would be a hands-on practical person interested in engineering/electronics with enthusiasm and willingness to learn. On the job training will be provided working alongside our team of experienced engineers, together with training courses from the manufacturers which you will be required to attend. The right candidate may also be able to undertake an NVQ Level 2 in stairlift installation, repair and servicing.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer care skills, provide a high standard of workmanship and hold a full UK driving licence. Our current coverage area is mainly Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath, South Gloucester and West Hampshire and travel will be required throughout these areas.
A company vehicle will be provided, together with tools and mobile telephone. Normal working hours are Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. You will also be required to be flexible and take part in the on-call rota for emergency out-of-hours breakdowns (evenings and weekends) when you have been trained to a level of competency.
