1ST CHOICE ENGINEERS TOP OF THE CLASS

1^st Choice Stairlifts Director Colin Major and Senior Engineer Mick Tobin have successfully completed their NVQ Level 2 in Stairlift Installation, Repair and Servicing. 

They are the first of 1^st Choice Stairlifts engineers to achieve the accreditation with flying colours and completed the course in record time. As part of their NVQ qualification, the engineers have to demonstrate competence in:

• Working safely in an engineering environment – basic stairlift safety
• Restoring stairlifts to service by replacing or repairing components
• Installing stairlifts
• Complying with Statutory Regulations and Organisational Safety Requirements
• Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation
• Working efficiently and effectively in engineering
• Handling over and confirming completion of maintenance or installation activities
• Carrying out fault location on stairlift equipment
• Carrying out servicing activities on stairlift equipment
