Calne-based 1st Choice Stairlifts is celebrating its first two years in business this month with overwhelming customer endorsement. Established in 2004, the firm - which provides a complete service from initial consultation through to installation and aftercare for people across Wiltshire - has received 100% customer satisfaction in a recent survey, in which every customer also said they would have no hesitation in recommending the firm to others.
This follows an accolade in the North Wiltshire District Council 2004 business awards, in which 1st Choice Stairlifts received the New Business Award for Calne and North Wiltshire. Two years ago, with over 10 years’ experience in the stairlift industry, director Coral Affleck saw potential for an independent firm that could provide a complete stairlift service in Wiltshire. She believes that the secret of the firm’s success is a commitment to providing excellent customer care combined with high quality products, service and workmanship.
She says, “Our customer base has grown beyond expectations in just two years. Our aim is to provide a friendly service through a local team, helping people find the stairlift that’s right for them and take away the hassle of having it installed."

1st Choice Stairlifts has five permanent members of staff and is a member of the British Healthcare Trades Association, adhering to its code of practice for the mobility industry. This gives customers peace of mind that they are dealing with a professional organisation. As well as a complete installation and aftercare service, 1st Choice Stairlifts also offers stairlift rental and a removal and reinstallation service.
